Job description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you wi be:

Researching, designing, architecting and deveoping highy secure, compiant, avaiabe common base automation soutions/tooing, using technoogies ike Terraform, Python, GoLang, NodeJs, Bash in an IBM Coud context (VPC, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, DevOps pipeine, Akamai etc).

Mentoring and guiding junior engineers into impementing soutions

Identifying opportunities and acting on improving existing toos, frameworks and DevSecOps workfows.

Documenting and sharing your experience with other teams.

Becoming an expert and major contributor for designs and impementation efforts of the IBM Coud Services ecosystem.

Manage the fu ifecyce of code changes from deveopment to depoyment, incuding code reviews, testing and operations.

Use of various open-source toos for instrumenting, monitoring, aerting, and debugging of production services.

Participate in on-ca rotations aong with the other members of the team to maintain the uptime of our services out of hours.

Participate in architectura discussions and hep drive the future of our services as we continuay strive to provide best-in-cass experiences for IBM deveopment teams.

Stay abreast of the atest technoogies and methodoogies with high focus on Coud infrastructure (VPC, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, Akamai etc)

Bacheor’s Degree

Required technica and professiona expertise
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Coud environment in the roe of DevOps
Famiiarity with continuous integration & continuous depoyment toos and strategies.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansibe).

Demonstrated experience working with Coud infrastructure (VPC, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, Akamai).

Proficient in any one of the high-eve programming anguage such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or Go.

Demonstrated experience of eading a squad for ateast 2+ years.

Design, buid, and maintain highy efficient, secure and scaabe software buid systems.

Exceent anaytica and probem-soving abiities, with a keen attention to detai.

Demonstrated anaytica skis and data structures/agorithms fundamentas.

Demonstrated verba and written communications skis.

Demonstrated skis with troubeshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software.

Experience working with any version contro system (Git preferred).

Preferred technica and professiona experience

Knowedge of IBM Coud services and management, with an emphasis on depoying and scaing appications in a coud environment

Experience using coud-native systems for monitoring and aerting (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Easticsearch)

Soid foundation in Linux internas, incuding system cas, fie systems, and kerne debugging

Understanding of endpoint security best practices (TLS, HTTPS, TLS Certificates, WAF, Network Traffic Anaysis)

Understanding of networking principes and protocos

Knowedge of security testing techniques to identify vunerabiities in software and infrastructure.

Genuine interest in buiding efficient and highy performant software

Abiity to quicky earn new technoogies and adapt to changing technica environments
